about us

We are a team of doctors based in the United Kingdom who are genuinely passionate about helping International Medical Graduates (IMGs) succeed in the PLAB exams and begin their medical careers in the NHS.

Between us, we have either:

  • Successfully passed the PLAB exams ourselves, or
  • Spent many years teaching, mentoring, and preparing candidates for UK medical exams, including PLAB

We understand the pressure, uncertainty, and frustration that comes with preparing for PLAB because we have been there ourselves and we have supported candidates through this process for many years.

Built by doctors, rebuilt with care

This website has not been created quickly or casually.

Over the past almost two years, we have carried out a full, ground-up overhaul of the entire platform.

This has been a painstaking process that required sustained time, focus, and attention.

Every section of the site has been:

  • Reviewed
  • Rewritten
  • Reorganised
  • Updated

This work was done by us, not outsourced, and not rushed. We revisited content repeatedly to ensure it reflects how PLAB is actually examined and how UK medicine is practised today.

We did this because PLAB matters, and because candidates deserve resources they can trust.

Deep exam insight, not guesswork

Our understanding of PLAB is not theoretical.

In addition to our own exam experience, we have carried out an extensive review of more than 10 years of PLAB exam recalls. This has allowed us to identify:

  • Recurring themes
  • Common presentation patterns
  • Frequently tested decision points
  • Areas where candidates repeatedly struggle

This long-term analysis informs how our questions are written, how topics are prioritised, and how preparation advice is framed. It also helps us avoid overemphasising rare or low-yield material.

How our content is developed

All material on this site is written and refined by doctors.

Our question banks and explanations are developed using:

  • The MLA content map, which PLAB is now blueprinted to
  • Current UK clinical standards and everyday NHS practice
  • Real exam experience and long-term recall analysis

The focus is always on:

  • Safety
  • Clinical reasoning
  • UK-appropriate decision-making

Our questions are designed to feel familiar when you sit the exam. Not because they are copied, but because they reflect the same logic, priorities, and structure PLAB consistently uses.

Our approach to PLAB preparation

PLAB is not just a test of knowledge. It is a test of:

  • Judgement
  • Prioritisation
  • Recognition of risk
  • Knowing what to do next in a UK clinical setting

Our aim is not to overwhelm candidates with unnecessary detail. It is to help you understand how the exam thinks, what it is really testing, and how to approach questions and stations with confidence.

Our mission

We want to help IMGs:

  • Pass PLAB with confidence
  • Avoid common and costly mistakes
  • Understand UK medical practice clearly
  • Begin work safely and competently in the NHS

We have been doing this for years.

We continue to refine and improve our material.

And we stand behind the quality of the content on this site.

If you are preparing for PLAB, you are using a platform that has been built carefully, deliberately, and over time by doctors who take this responsibility seriously.
